What Is A Sound Bath?

With the launch of our latest Mind Body album, Anahata Flow, we asked its creator, Hannah Rose, what is a Sound Bath and how is it produced?

Hannah from Good Vibrations Wellbeing is a holistic therapist specialising in sound healing.

Over to Hannah:

A sound bath is a meditative experience using beautiful, sacred, acoustic instruments such as Tibetan Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Koshi Chimes, my voice and the celtic harp. It is called a sound bath because you will feel ‘bathed’ in the harmonious and healing frequencies and vibrations!

We approached this album with music for a yoga class in mind… arriving on the mat, deep breathing, flowing movements, balancing poses and then returning to shavasana and meditation at the end of the hour.

It is a journey through the elements of air, water and earth… If Yoga isn’t your thing, this album can also be listened to as a meditation… so close your eyes, relax and drift on the waves of these beautiful sounds.

You’ll hear sacred mantras weaved into the album too… the first being Om Shri Gaia Ma – which is a mantra that praises the beauty of Mother Earth… perfect for arriving in a yoga practice with a sense of gratitude and grounding. The second mantra at the end of the album is Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung – which is the ultimate healing mantra – tapping into the energies of the sun, moon, earth, and the Infinite Spirit to bring deep healing, stillness and clarity.

I hope you love listening, meditating and moving to Anahata Flow sound bath as much as I have enjoyed creating it!

Namaste x
